and Margaret Subra). |

Grave stone reads: "George Subra
- Born Jan. 13, 1884 - Died Oct. 30, 1888. Gone but not forgotten." George
was the son of Stephen & Margaret Subra. Glen Subra (great grandson of
Stephen) is holding the rubbing. |

|
Stephen & Frances were both born
in France, and show up in the NY 1850 & 1860 census. After the death of her
husband, Frances lived with her son, Stephen, who lived in MN and in IA. She
died in Iowa shortly before her grandson George. Notice the "Subra" at the
bottom of the stone. Stone reads: "Frances Subra - Born July 14, 1814 - Died
June 18, 1888" |
